Gedion Murimi Munyi is the ICT Manager at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and a software engineer, with over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing Regulatory Information Management Systems (RIMS) across Africa. He has played a central role in advancing digital transformation and regulatory harmonization initiatives in collaboration with leading institutions, including the AUDA-NEPAD, the World Bank, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
Mr. Murimi led the development of several flagship digital regulatory systems, including the Pharmacy and Poisons Board’s RIMS, the Regulatory Information Sharing Portal (RISP) for AUDA-NEPAD, the IGAD MRH Portal, and the Pharmacy and Poisons Board’s Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Trials electronic systems that have enhanced national and regional regulatory collaboration, efficiency, and data transparency.
