Amira is the Global Regulatory Policy Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at MSD, where she leverages more than fifteen years of experience in regulatory science and policy to shape regional strategies. She is recognized as a thought leader in regulatory reliance, collaborative work sharing, and harmonization efforts. She has cultivated strong cross-sector networks to strengthen regulatory practices across the region.
She chairs the EFPIA Middle East Regulatory Network and actively participates in multiple trade associations and forums, including the EMA Reliance focus group, IFPMA various networks (notably the Africa Regulatory Network) and PhRMA networks.
She has been a frequent speaker and session leader at conferences and has numerous publications on regulatory topics. Amira holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and biotechnology from the German University in Cairo.
