BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Mulugeta Russom is a highly accomplished Pharmacovigilance Specialist and Pharmacoepidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in medical products regulation and successfully building pharmacovigilance systems from scratch. He serves as an Advisor to the WHO/HQ on Medicines Safety and COVID-19 therapeutics and leads a WHO working group on combating substandard medical products. A prolific researcher, he holds a PhD, has 60+ scientific publications, and received the 2022 International Pharmacovigilance Fellowship Award.
