BIOGRAPHY

Bitrus Fraden is an experienced regulatory pharmacist and public health professional with over 30 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical regulation, enforcement, and surveillance. He is a distinguished alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where he earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fraden has developed expertise at the intersection of healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. He holds an MBA in Administration from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, and a Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies from the University of Ilorin. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Security Studies in Bwari, Abuja, demonstrating his strong commitment to National security and the integrity of public health.
Mr. Fraden has represented Nigeria in various international engagements as part of his regulatory duties, traveling extensively across Africa, Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. He currently serves as the NAFDAC focal officer for the African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) and is the Chair of the Substandard and Falsified Medical Products- Technical Committee (SFMP-TC).
His extensive global experience has enhanced his understanding of international best practices in pharmaceutical regulation and public health policy.
