BIOGRAPHY

Charles "Charlie" Preston, MD, MPH, is a public health physician that works on regulatory system strengthening issues at the Gates Foundation. He is currently a senior program officer and lead for substandard and falsified medical products initiatives, working directly with partners like AUDA, NRAs, and WHO. Prior to Gates, Charlie worked as an advisor for regulatory systems at PAHO/WHO, and before that, as a medical officer at the US Food and Drug Administration. He received his medical and public health residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins, respectively.
