BIOGRAPHY

Dr Mwiti Makathimo is Head of External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships at Novartis Sub-Saharan Africa, where he advances policy advocacy and multi-sectoral partnerships to strengthen health systems. A public health physician, he focuses on the intersection between health and sustainable development. With over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has held roles such as Medical Advisor, Head of Public Affairs for Novartis East Africa, and Health System Strengthening Partnerships Manager. He holds an MBChB (University of Nairobi), an MSc in Public Health & Policy (LSHTM), and an M.A. in Project Planning and Management (University of Nairobi).
