Speaker Profile: Mr. Akinyemi Abayomi Tosin, FIIM
Deputy Director, System Analysis, Architecture and Application Management, NAFDAC (Nigeria)

Mr. Akinyemi Abayomi Tosin is a distinguished digital transformation and regulatory systems leader with over 25 years of experience advancing ICT-driven reforms in Africa’s health regulatory ecosystem. He has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing key continental initiatives, including the AU Model Regulatory Information Management System (RIMS), the Regulatory Information Sharing Platform (RISP), the Electronic Continental Regulatory Expert System (eCReS), and the Continental API Database under the AMRH framework. A leading champion of eCTD implementation and digital submissions across Africa, he has also mentored countries on RIMS deployment and digital transformation strategies.

Mr. Akinyemi currently serves as Chairman of the IMS Technical Committee (IMS TC), Chairman of the Technology Subcommittee of the SFMP Technical Committee AUDA-NEPAD, and previously as Chairman of the IMS Expert Working Group at the regional level. A Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (FIIM), he holds multiple certifications, including Lead Auditor in Artificial Intelligence (ISO/IEC 42001). He is an alumnus of the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, through the AIG Public Leaders Programme, and a recipient of an Innovation Award for his pioneering contributions to regulatory digitalization and interoperability in Africa.
