BIOGRAPHY

Tendayi Arnold Kureya is a public health and research expert with over 20 years of experience in clinical trials, regulatory preparedness, and health systems strengthening across Africa. He is the Executive Secretary of the Medical Research Council of Zimbabwe.
An environmental engineer by training (PhD, MPhil), Tendayi also holds an MSc in Statistics and will graduate with a PhD in Business in 2026. He has led multi-country projects focusing on maternal health, malaria elimination, HIV and AIDS, and WASH interventions. His work includes reviewing complex clinical and epidemiological studies.
Tendayi has contributed to global health literature through publications in the likes of The Lancet and the American Journal of Public Health. His expertise spans quantitative and qualitative research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement for evidence-based decision-making. He has an interest in shaping regulatory strategies for clinical trials in low-resource settings, ensuring alignment with global standards while addressing local realities.
